Full Extended Membership

Full Extended Membership is a three-year membership available for health care providers who are licensed to practice in the state in which they reside, are in good standing with their licensing Board.*  Applicants must have completed a minimum of 20 hours training in an approved introductory course in hypnosis.** MSCH encourages all health care providers to join our membership regardless of their level of experience or comfort using clinical hypnosis.

Full Extended Membership is $250 for three years.   A one-year membership is available for $90.

*Here’s the specific criteria for being a full member:

Members shall hold a Doctorate degree in dentistry, medicine, nursing, osteopathy, psychology, chiropractic or a similar health care field AND shall be licensed or registered to practice by the state agency or authority that governs professionals in the member’s field of practice in the state in which the member is practicing, without any license or practice restrictions 

OR Shall hold a Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, nursing, psychology, social work, or a similar health care field AND shall be licensed or registered to practice by the state agency or authority that governs professionals in the member’s field of practice in the state in which the member is practicing, without any license or practice restrictions 

OR Shall hold a Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S., B.N.) or equivalent terminal degree (i.e., is a graduate of a 4-year training program which does not grant 2 Bachelor’s degrees) and which is directly related to their field of practice; AND is practicing in the field of nursing, acupuncture, physician assistant, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, pastoral care, chemical dependency treatment, or in a similar health care field; AND shall be licensed or registered to practice by the state agency or authority that governs professionals in the member’s field of practice in the state in which the member is practicing, without any license or practice restrictions.

Membership requires licensure requirements plus attending an MSCH or ASCH approved 20 hour Fundamental skills hypnosis course. This course can be taken through MSCH right here in Minnesota in June. Details of the June workshop are under the ‘Education’ tab on this website. (www.msch.org)  Scroll down to the ‘Annual MSCH Workshops in Clinical Hypnosis Intro and Advanced Workshops in Clinical Hypnosis.’ The Fundamentals course is offered every June in Minnesota.
