Description

In this 6-hour workshop, participants will get practical, hands-on training on how to apply hypnosis effectively with a range of digestive disorders as well as autoimmune disorders. Dr. Weisberg will first provide important foundational information about how the nervous system changes in these chronic conditions, and how to intervene with these issues. Participants will gain valuable information about the problem of normal dissociation and the capacity to tolerate uncomfortable sensations in the body, as well as how early attachment affects this. Participants will also learn specific hypnotic interventions to help patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohns Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, and multiple autoimmune conditions. Dr. Weisberg will convey these concepts through a combination of didactics, demonstration, experiential exercises, and, of course, humor.
